A Few Words About What We Do.

Today, we are implementing projects through our four departments: Health, Agriculture, Education and Human Rights. These four departments have separated focuses on interconnected issues, and work closely to bring the best impact to communities in Cameroon.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Environmental Education and
Sustainable Development

131 million girls around the world are missing out on school, and girls are 50% more likely to lose the opportunity for education than boys. Education and the right to work are the most powerful tools in overcoming extreme poverty.

Health Department

Provision of primary healthcare, awareness-raising, Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation (WASH), and health stakeholder strengthening. Core focus issues are HIV, Sexual Reproductive Health, Malaria, Diarrhea, tuberculosis, respiratory infections, and COVID-19

Empowering Women In Agriculture

Sustainable Hands is taking a comprehensive approach to strengthening agricultural system, fighting hunger and strengthening food security at scale. Sustainable Hands does this by investing in cutting-edge research to develop stronger seed and greener fertilizers; helping farmer’s access capital;; and accelerating access to mobile technology and content that learn and access to real-time market information.

.

Human Rights & Governance

we need to achieve not only social empowerment but economic empowerment. We believe that economic poverty is not solely the result of individual inactivity or incompetence but is, in fact, caused by socio-economic challenges which contributes to a cycle of poverty for many individuals.

Sustainable Hands Organization is thrilled to share a glimpse of some of our activities! As you can see from the images, making a difference in our community is what we’re called for.
We commemorated World Tuberculosis Day by partnering with several organizations to provide free TB screenings and educate the community about prevention.
Our “Blood Connect” project where we reached out to schools including St. Joseph’s College Sasse, PCSS and empowering the students with knowledge about the importance of blood donation.
And finally, we hosted the inspiring “One Youth One Dream” conference, providing Cameroonian youth with invaluable educational and networking opportunities. We impacted hundreds of community members with TB screenings, over 80 students with blood donation education, and dozens of youth at the conferences.
We’re committed to continuing our work to create a healthier and brighter future for all.
